Safety Covers

Safety Covers

We’ve Got You Covered!

Winter is no match for a pool that is covered with a safety cover.

MP Paradise Pools and Spas offers the perfect swimming pool protection for your family, pets and swimming pool. The heavy duty mesh design allows for maximum strength and protection with easy to install straps and anchors that sit flush in the ground.

Long gone are the days of covering the pool with a flimsy tarp and pesky water bags. Safety covers make opening and closing the pool a breeze. The spring loaded design creates an even tension across the width of the cover making it strong enough to hold an elephant.

Save yourself time and money not having to refill the pool with water in the spring. The mesh allows rainwater to pass through leaving dirt and debris behind while filling the pool to the ideal level for springtime use. This allows the cover to stay clean, dry and safe all year round – at least until the winter snow keeps it covered until spring.

Made from premium grade materials, durable polypropylene fabrics, 500 lbs tensile strength webbing and the highest grade UV polyester thread to prevent the colour from fading.

Whether you are looking to upgrade to a safety cover or replace the one you currently have, our experts make the process as easy as possible. Fill out the form below for a quote on a safety cover for your pool.

Safety Cover Replacement

If you are looking to get your current safety cover remade because the seams are wearing out, the cover has stretched over time, or the straps are coming apart, there is no better time than now! Keep your pool safe with our simple process for safety cover replacement.

There are two ways to guarantee the replacement cover will be made to the correct specifications: locating the serial number so that our experts can utilize the original spec drawings and using the current cover as a template.

Follow the steps below to find the best option for your current cover.

Covers With Serial Numbers

Take a photo of the serial number on your current cover. This is located along the edge seam, usually by a step flap or near a corner. Include the photo when filling out the form below. If the manufacturer has the spec drawings, no need to bring in your cover. It will be remade using the spec measurements of the original cover on file.

If anything has changed to the shape or layout of the pool, please let us know in the comments of the form. The pool may need to be remeasured so that new spec drawings can be made.

Covers Without Serial Numbers

If there is no serial number or the cover is made by a different manufacturer, complete the form below to get your quote. Once you have received your quote, bring the quote into the store nearest you along with your current cover. It will be used as a template for the new cover. This will ensure the seams and straps are in the same place so no new anchor points will need to be drilled into the pool surround.

*Please note that your current cover will not be returned to you and will be disposed of once the template is created.

If neither of these are an option, we will send our experts out to measure the pool and anchor placements to create new spec measurements.

Accessories

  • Anchor Types

  • Hardware

Anchors are crucial for the proper attachment of a safety cover. There are many ways to attach your safety cover around the pool and the anchor required may differ depending on the type of surface that surrounds the pool. While concrete is the most common type of decking, there may be interlocking brick, grass, wood or even something that blocks the decking like a water feature or wall. Each of these surfaces require a specific type of anchor that is made to provide maximum strength with as little interference with the decking as possible. Anchors are designed to be replaceable should their integrity be compromised.

Concrete Anchor

Most common anchors used to secure cover to concrete and interlocking bricks. Interior screw sits flush with the concrete when not in use.

Wood Anchor

Adapted anchors for wooden or synthetic deck surrounding the pool.

Lawn Stake

If there is no concrete or wooden decking around the pool, the removable lawn stake secures the cover into the ground.

Wall Anchor

Made to accommodate fountains, rock, or landscaping that create a wall barrier.

Replacement anchors are sold separately. For new covers, the anchors are included and will be installed by our expert service crew.

The quality of safety cover hardware is equally important as the cover itself, therefore, quality is not compromised. Stainless steel is used to ensure no corrosion of springs and interlock anchors and non-corrosive brass for the concrete anchors. Stainless steel buckles and tips are used on each cover to ensure no staining takes place on the pool deck at all. This will all ensure that no staining takes place on the pool deck. Yard Guard offers a full range of hardware to accommodate all safety cover installations.

Installation Tool: 2’ in length. Makes installing your safety cover springs a breeze. Ensures correct installation and removal of the springs to the brass anchors, wood anchors, and lawn stakes.

Allen Key: Wrench used for safety cover anchors to raise and lower the anchors according to season. Long arm wrenches to provide extra reach and greater torque. Handle allows for better grip.

Springs and Spring Covers: Stainless Steel securely holds pool safety covers in place throughout the winter. The springs attach to the brass anchors and are replaceable. The vinyl sleeve protects the spring from the elements while also preventing the spring from scratching your deck.

Buckle: Stainless steel metal buckle for straps. Used to secure the spring in place on the strap. Designed so the strap length is adjustable.

Brass Anchor: The premium brass material is built to keep your safety cover locked in during intense winds and heavy snow. Sits flush with the concrete alongside the pool when not in use. Unscrews with an Allen key for safety cover attachment. Each anchor comes with the bolt.

Brass Cover: Brass collars can be used with brass anchors to create a more complete and finished look around the pool deck.

Wall Anchor: Wall anchors are a necessity when dealing with elevated steps or structures that prevent standard ground installation. Mounted in the wall where they stay year round, the hook securely holds the cover in place.

Wood Anchor: Attaches to wooden decking with four screws for even support. This anchor will sit above the decking. Best to use with the brass cover for a seamless look.

Lawn Stake: For pools with no decking or concrete beside the pool. These can be lowered to be flush with the grass or garden, or raised up when it’s time to hook the cover onto them. Can be left in the ground when not in use, but best if removed in the summer to allow for proper lawn care.
