Winter Checklist
What To Do Before Your Pool Closing:
- 4-7 Days Before: Bring in a water sample.
- 2-3 Days Before: shock the pool with chlorine – Amount will vary depending on volume of pool. An email will be sent a week prior with the amount of chlorine to add.
- Day Before: Vacuum the pool and skim pool water
- Day Of Pool Closing: Leave out all winterizing equipment, parts and chemicals needed to close the pool including winter cover.
What To Do After Your Pool Closing:
- Store your pool accessories in an easy to remember place. They will be needed to open the pool up in the spring.
- Late Fall: Add an algaecide to the pool. Pour over-top of mesh covers, or lift a corner of the solid cover to access the pool water.
- Late Winter/Early Spring: Add another algaecide to the pool. This will help break down the algae that formed during warmer winter temperatures.
- Early Spring: Book your pool opening!
